A journey from passion to purpose
Since childhood, the kitchen has been my safe space, a place where flour, sugar, and love transformed into tasty creations. As I grew, so did my understanding that this gift was meant for a bigger purpose. This past year, the Lord began to shape my heart, inspiring me to share not just my baked goods, but also the light and love that Jesus brings to this often-dark world.
Refining Martha: a name with a deeper meaning
The name 'Refining Martha' holds a deeply personal significance, inspired by the biblical story of Martha and Mary. Like Martha, I often found myself striving, placing my worth in doing rather than being. But Jesus' gentle words to Martha—"Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed - or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her." (Luke 10:41-42)—became a revelation. My desire is to serve others, not out of self-justification, but as a humble overflow of Jesus working through me, refining my heart in the process.

At Refining Martha, every single item is more than just an ingredient list and a recipe. Each cookie, cake, and pastry is prayed over and crafted with loving hands, imbued with the intention of bringing a light to your day. My greatest hope is that every customer feels the warmth, care, and genuine joy baked into every bite, experiencing a taste of the light and love we aim to share.
